Our church will be celebrating 100 years during 2009. A committee has formed to help us organize special events. If you would like to be a member of this committee, or have suggestions for activities, please contact: Kay Erickson, Kathryn Paris, Shirley Rice or Pastor Geri.

2009: June 28 The Rev. and Mrs. Duane (Diana) Miller will lead us in 10:00 am worship Continental Breakfast and Fellowship from 8:30 to time of service (Duane and Diana served the church from November 1977-January 1986)
July 2 Pie Social and time of fellowship (1-3) (Proceeds to benefit the Centennial Committee)
August 9 Outdoor service at the Peter Nordeen Park Pavilion Followed by an all-church picnic (bring a dish to pass and table service) Brats and hotdogs will be provided.
30 The Rev. Ted Halsted will lead us in 10:00 worship Continental Breakfast and Fellowship from 8:30 to time of service (Ted Halsted served as Marquette District Superintendent 1986-1992)
September Pig Roast and Program (Exact date and time to be determined)
October 3 Gwinn United Methodist Women hosting the District Annual Meeting
18 The Rev. Grant Lobb will lead us in 11:00 worship as we celebrate the laying of the Corner Stone, which was laid on October 15, 1909. Soup and Sandwich Fellowship will be followed by a Centennial Program (Grant Lobb is our current Marquette District Superintendent)
November 22 Our “Diamond” members (those 75 +) will be honored
2010: January 17 UMW Sunday/Special Centennial Program Pot Luck Dinner following the service
February 13 Cherry Dessert Social and Open House
21 Rededication Service (first service held in February 20, 1910) Soup and Sandwich Fellowship following service
March 21 A Festival Service (lots of old hymns and recognition of leaders and members) Soup and Sandwich Fellowship following service
April 18 A musical service honoring the choir The first choir program was presented on April 18, 1910. Soup and Sandwich Fellowship following service |
