United Methodist Women

Meet 2nd Monday of the month.

The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ;  to develop a creative supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

Join us as we venture into learning about ourselves, our world and our God. We have several opportunities over the next couple months to have good fellowship, excellent discussion, and helping college students know that we care. Step out and be a part of the U.M.W.

Hospitality Time:   10:30 in the church social room. A time before church for fellowship, coffee, juice, fruit  and how about those good Methodist coffee cakes. Yum!

Community Meal  2nd Wednesday of every month. Enjoying food and fellowship served graciously at no cost by the volunteers of our church.

Adopt a highway, cleaning  2 miles of county road 553 on a Sunday afternoon once a month in April, July & Sept. Kevin Kelly, coordinator.

Festivals of Booths. Food collected and given to our  Pantry: The name Booth Festival is biblically based. The Feast of Booths was one of the three great annual festivals of the Israelites, celebrated with great joy after the harvest. In 1924, district churches would collect canned goods and then construct a booth describing their Fall Booth Festival work. What a blessing for our Pantry.

Emmaus.  We have this twice a year, a women’s Emmaus walk and a men’s Emmaus walk.

The Gift Card Program. This is a great way to support the ongoing needs of our church . It is a program that you can purchase gift certificates that are used like cash.

Vacation Bible School. Held every summer for several days at the Nordeen Park in Gwinn. This program is open to all children.

Today is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24
